Framo Morat extends technology spectrum by adding Radial Gear Chamfering and deburring
In the field of metal-cutting gearing, increasingly complex and demanding component geometries require burr-free edges and precise surfaces in production. To prepare for these requirements, Framo Morat GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its competencies in gear cutting technology and added a RGC 350 deburring machine from TEC for GEARS to its machine pool. The Radial Gear Chamfering process allows defined and reproducible chamfers to be produced on the tooth front edges. This not only has a positive effect on the quality and functionality of the components, but is also decisive for the cost-effectiveness of parts production.
Chamfering and deburring - also as a service
Together with our partner - MFH Technologie GmbH - we offer the defined deburring and chamfering gears as a service.
With the existing capacities - in addition to smaller series - also larger quantities can be processed with the Radial Gear Chamfering.
Of course, sample and test machining can also be carried out.

Review: Presentation of the Radial Gear Chamfering Process / in-house exhibition on 12 December 2018
On 12 December 2018, the newly developed RGC (Radial Gear Chamfering) process and the RGC 350 machine were presented at an in-house exhibition at our partner, the bs Group.
After an address of welcoming by Niklas Müller, Managing Director of TEC for GEARS, and Bernd Stoll, Managing Director of the bs Gruppe, and a short presentation of the two companies, the RCG process was demonstrated live in operation to the visitors.
So everyone could convince themselves of the speed and the quality of the radial chamfering and directly inspect the result at the gears. Despite the considerable coarse burr which resulted from the previous gear hobbing process, the planetary gear shown could be chamfered on both sides within only 12 seconds.
